The year 2024 marked a monumental milestone for Bergen Bible Baptist Church. For years, we prayed for a larger sanctuary to accommodate more souls in worship. In 2022, we launched “Project Nehemiah,” seeking a new location with expanded facilities and parking.

However, God had a different plan. On December 18, 2024—following the faithful prayers of our congregation and our late Pastor Emeritus, Max Mendoza—the borough officially approved the renovation of our current building.

After a year of diligent planning and permitting throughout 2025, the work has finally begun. Demolition commenced on January 5, 2026, and we are now praying for the project’s successful completion.

During this time, our services have moved to a temporary location. Please check our updates for current times and locations. Thank you for walking this journey of faith with us; we invite your continued prayers as we build for the glory of God.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

..And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
