Our church Bergen Bible Baptist Church Evangelism Ministry has the desire to share the burden of winning souls for Christ.

We are given the great commission “ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”. We are under the obligation to teach others and observe all things he had commanded, we are to teach and go.

We are also debtors to every non-believer because we have the good news that can save the souls of men. Someone loved us so much enough to teach us the truth, should we not do as much for someone else? Romans 1:14 “ I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

The Lord doesn’t want anyone to be lost. II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” If we are not going to share the good news they will be forever lost if we don’t teach them now. How are we going to answer the Lord if we haven’t shared the good news to others?

Matthew 9:37-38 “ Then saith he unto his disciples. The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Our Lord is speaking of spiritual harvest of souls who would be lost in eternity if they are not harvested. There is an urgency to win the lost for Christ .

Teaching the lost is the work of every church today, the first century had  such great excitement of sharing the good news inspite of persecution. Acts 5:42 “ And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. What should stop us today?

We can each one reach one, successful evangelism is accomplished one person at a time. Reaching souls for Christ is not only done in distant lands, but we must teach those around us. God will be with us. “ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13.

When we teach the lost we cause all of Heaven to rejoice. Jesus tells us that there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God when one sinner repents Luke 15:10 “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

EVANGELISM MINISTRY

Theme: “We Can Succeed by Persevering”

“Each One, Reach One”

Goals:

1. To see all members interested in soul winning.
   • By encouraging members to keep on inviting friends, families, & others every time the church door is open.
   • By doing “clinic” for soul winning,”on the job training”- based on contacts.  Encourage them to go out with an experienced soul winner (two by two)
   • Every special occasion in the church will be an opportunity to invite people.
   • Encourage everyone to give Gospel tracts anytime, anywhere.
2. To have new homes, open for Bible study.
   • Discipleship: Lead them to grow in the Lord and be more committed to the Lord’s work.
   • Visitation: members who are sick & needy.
3. To have new families added to the church (at least five).
   • Prayerfully asking God and expecting greater things from Him.
