Youth Ministry

Rejoice, O young man, in the youth; and let they heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth.

Ecclesiastes 11:9a

Our youth group at Bergen Bible Baptist Church is composed of young adults with the vision to grow in faith and serve God. We meet every Sunday afternoon. Each week our pastor preaches a message that blesses us and can be applicable to our lives. There are certain events that are held which allow our youth to fellowship with one another and grow in Christ, such as Valentine’s Banquet, Summer Camp, and Outdoor Activities. It is with these meetings that we are nourished with the Word of God.

The young people of our church realize the importance of serving the Lord. Many of us are actively involved in the ministries of the church, specifically with the education and music ministries. We can be seen playing instruments such as the piano, organ, guitar, and flute during the worship services. Others serve as a Sunday School teacher or nursery worker. The entire group sings special numbers, and some are involved with the special Ladies’ or Men’s Ensemble. We are using our God-given talents to serve Him.

Even as young adults, we exhibit the utmost desire to continue serving the Lord until He comes. Because of this reason, the term we use to call ourselves is “ACTS 29”. We strive to continue the work of the apostles. It is our desire to grow in our relationship with God and do our best for His glory. God has placed us here with one purpose. That purpose is to share God’s greatest gift to us, His Son and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to the world.
